Zayneb Allak

Dr Zayneb Allak is a writer and Lecturer at Edge Hill University. With a focus on contemporary literature and psychoanalytic literary criticism, her research examines the poetics of writing and reading. She is especially interested in the intersection between creative and critical writing and the possibilities for writing offered by cross-disciplinary approaches. Her poems have appeared in The Rialto and New Walk and her debut poetry pamphlet, Keine Angst, was published by New Walk Editions in October 2017. She is currently developing a creative/critical project that examines uncanny themes such as darkness and privacy, and ways in which a text ‘spiders’ into being.
