For this first event in the Switchboard series during Being Human 17, writers with varied experience gathered at Nottingham Industrial Museum for a day of telephone-themed activities. After a tour of the museum’s rarely seen telephone exhibits, participants responded creatively to poems and prose with telephone connections, guided by Dr Sarah Jackson and Jo Dixon (NTU). By the end of the day, a group poem was on its way to completion and all the participants had produced new work, some of which was read at the live literature event, Switchboard III.
