Vicky Sparrow’s current writing attempts to think in and out of a long history of poetic form. Poems for Pearl is an ongoing work-in-progress that takes as its source text the Medieval manuscript poem Perle, tracing this remarkable text through the revisions and reimaginings of its multiple later iterations, to the present day of digital poetics and its related abuses. What do history’s ongoing rhymes reveal for us; what, and who, have they concealed, and conceal still?
